of T-Bone Walker & Louis Jordan & our trombonist, T-Bone Paxton

fine set of music. Available now at CD Baby!
 Read the Reviews!"In
volume 2 of Blowin’ the Blues Away, the Planet D Nonet more than lives
up to the title of its new recording. The well-chosen repertoire, fine
horn and rhythm sections, and great vocals keep your toes tapping and
your fingers snapping. This little big band knows how to swing."
Leslie Keros WHPK, "Crossroads: Where Jazz Meets Blues" WDCB, "Blues Edition" "I
debuted your new CD on my program and love it. Will continue to
give it some good spins. Everyone seems to get some good solo
space on the tunes which I enjoy. Being a long time T-Bone Walker
fan, I loved spinning two of his tunes that you recorded." Robert Barclay, "The Juke Joint" WCMU
"Those
guys from Rhode Island better watch out. With the addition of Dan
Devins' charismatic, melodic and powerful singing voice, these 9 guys
from Detroit are going to upset the balance of national jump blues
power." Linda Yohn, Music Dir. WEMU “Classy,
solid and in the groove, Planet D hits all the right notes. The record
is a throwback to the days of the classic jump blues from Detroit. I’m
sure the band would have given the orchestras’ of TJ Fowler, Todd
Rhodes, King Porter and Paul “Hucklebuck” Williams a run for their
money.” Willy Wilson, “The Motor City Is Burning” CJAM !
